Dr. Sam Meline is a retired orthodontist who has lived in Hollywood for the past 45 years. He is the past president of the Greater Hollywood Dental Society, a past president of South Florida Academy of Orthodontists, and a member of most professional dental organizations. He is also a past president of Temple Beth Shalom, past president of the David Posnack JCC, and a past vice president of the Michael-Ann Russell JCC. At the Jewish Federation of South Broward, he was a past vice president, a past president of the Young Leaders Council, and a member of the board directors, on and off, for 25 years. The many committees he has served on, both at Federation and the Orloff CAJE, include Public Relations, Planning and Allocations (co-chairman), Chaplaincy (chairman), Shalom (co-chairman), Super Sunday Trainers (co-chairman), High School in Israel (National Board), and as chair of Mega Mission III.
A co-chair, along with Audrey, of the Jewish Community Foundation's Israel and Overseas Committee (since 2006), his awards include the Hy and Belle Schlafer Leadership Award (1970), the Federation Leadership Award (1973), the Knesset Award (1975) and, with Audrey, the David Ben Gurion Israel Bonds Award (1977).
He is a Committee Member since October 2008.
