Mr. Zvi Raviv (WZO)

Committee Member

Mr. Zvi Raviv is the Director of Bakol Communication – A multi-level marketing system of Israeli telecommunication products. Prior to that, he served as the Director-General of the New Jerusalem Foundation. During its short existence the New Jerusalem Foundation has raised over $30,000,000. In the past, Mr. Raviv served as an Advisor to the Mayor of Jerusalem on Special Projects and as Director of Development and Training in Keren Hayesod. Between 1995 through 1997 Raviv served as the International Co-ordinator of the Jerusalem 3,000 celebrations. Prior to that, he served in a number of positions within Keren Hayesod.

 

Zvi served in the IDF as an Education Officer. In this framework he conducted seminars, lectures and discussion groups throughout the Israeli Defence Force Units.

 

Within his public service, Mr. Raviv served as the Founder & Coordinator of the International Movement for the Freedom of Soviet Jewry- "Let My People Go". During the 60's he served as Chairman of the Annual Convention of the National Union of Israeli Students and was a member of the Executive of the World Union of Jewish Students. From 1985 Mr. Raviv serves as a Member of Maccabia Games Organising Committee. He is also an Executive Member of the Maccabi World Union and a member of the Executive of the David Yellin College, Jerusalem.

 

Mr. Raviv has a BA in Political Science and History from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

 

He serves as a Committee Member since February 2008.
