Judy Wein is a longtime Pittsburgh Jewish community leader where she has held key leadership positions at the United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh. She is currently co-chair of the UJF's Israel and World Jewry Commission and has been intimately involved with Pittsburgh's Partnership 2000 project since its inception. As part of the Partnership 2000 leadership group she is a founder and past co-chair of Voices 2000, the UJF Women's component of Partnership 2000; and chair of the Kesher subcommittee. Beyond her work with the Pittsburgh Federation, Judy is also a past president of her synagogue, Congregation Or L'Simcha and has served on the Board of Directors of Jewish Residential Services. She served as a member of the Special Needs Committee of the Jewish Education Institute and the Jewish Community Special Needs Committee and chaired the Pittsburgh Public School Special Needs Task Force. A frequent visitor to Israel, her daughter Lindsay made Alyiah in 2004 through the Jewish Agency for Israel and currently lives in Tel Aviv.
She serves as a Committee Member since September 2008.
