Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein is the founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a bridge-building organization committed to promoting mutual understanding and to strengthening support for Israel.
Prior to founding the Fellowship in 1983, Rabbi Eckstein served as national co-director for inter-religious affairs for the Anti-Defamation League. He received his rabbinical ordination from Yeshiva University and holds masters degrees from both Yeshiva University and Columbia University.
He serves on the board of JDC and of the American Refugee Committee, and is president of an Israeli network of soup kitchens and support centers for the poor. He divides his time between Jerusalem and Chicago.
Rabbi Eckstein has been a member of the Board of Governors since February 2001 and he is a member of the Executive since February 2008. He Chairs the Aliyah & Rescue Committee.
