Herbert Gimelstob is National Vice-Chair of the UJC. He is a former President, Vice President and Treasurer of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Federation. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University, and is an honorary board member of the American Jewish Committee.
A realtor by profession, Herbert Gimelstob is involved in many civic, educational and cultural organizations in his home state of Florida. He is founder of the Herbert and Elaine Gimelstob Chair for Judaic Studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. A member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since June 2001, he served in the past as Chair of the Comapnies Subcommittee and as Chair of the Assets & Liabilities Committee. He currently serves as Chair of the Real Estate Subcommittee.
