Robert Kaplan is Chairman of the UIA South Africa.  He also serves as Chairman of Keren Hayesod Budget Committee.

Robert Kaplan is Managing Director of Cape Gate Fence & Wire Works (Pty) Ltd., and is a past president of the Cape Chamber of Industries.  He holds degrees from Cape Town University and Columbia University. 

He has homes in Cape Town and Jerusalem.

Robert Kaplan is a member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since June 1995. He currently chairs the Allocations Subcommittee.
