Arlene Kaufman is President of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. She is the national co-chair of Operation Promise for UJC. Ms. Kaufman is the immediate past chair of the Israel and Overseas Pillar for UJC and has held a variety of position within the framework of UJA activities. In addition, she is a past chairman of Project Interchange - an institute of the American Jewish Committee that introduces non-Jews to Israel through seminar trips and serves on their Executive committee.
Ms. Kaufman also serves on the Boards of national organizations such as the American Friends of the Israel Science and Arts Academy and Hillel Board of Governors.
Ms. Kaufman is one of the founders and coordinators of birthright Israel post-trip activities. She serves as chair of that committee for The birthright Israel Foundation.
A member of the Board of Governors from 1992 - 1998, she returned to the Board in 2003 and served as a member until June 2012. Than she became a committee member.
