Beth Kieffer Leonard has been a pioneer in the accounting profession and has made an impact by leading by example. Beth is currently the managing partner of Lurie Besikof Lapidus and Company LLP, a top 100 accounting firm nationally and top 10 in Minnesota.
She has devoted her career to assisting clients in achieving their goals. Currently, as the visionary for the continued development of the Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship at Metro State, she has led a team that has seen the number of Certified Women Business Owners triple in 3 years. This past year she received the Presidents Award ‘s from the Women Presidents Organization and the Advocacy Award from the Women’s Business Development Center.
As a volunteer in the Jewish Community, Beth has contributed in a variety of areas, from the beginning of the Minneapolis Jewish Day School on its executive committee for four years, to Alexander Muss High School in Israel advisory board, and continuously at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation. Currently, Beth is in her second year as President of the MJF which is in the process of the implementation of the strategic planning process which she chaired. She has held positions as an officer for the past 7 years, including Treasurer as well as Business and Professional Campaign Chair. She received the Tychman Family Young Leadership Award and participated in the first Harry Kay Leadership program, an intensive leadership development program modeled after the Wexner program.
Beth received her Bachelor of Science Degree in the Accounting Program at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of CPAs, Board member on Minnesota Women’s Political Campaign Fund, recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners Corporate Woman of Achievement Award, and recognized in the Business Journal as a Leader in the Profession in July 2007.
She is a Board Member since June 2008.
