The Jewish Agency is to launch a broad program to assist the evacuees from Gush Katif and the northern West Bank. This will include psychological, occupational and educational assistance to help the evacuees return to life as usual and to give them the tools to deal with the trauma of the evacuation and the terror they experienced in recent years, the Jewish Agency board of governors announced Wednesday at its annual meeting in Jerusalem. The program, whose $6.5 million budget was raised from a special contribution by the United Jewish Communities of North America, will last a year and a half. (Nadav Shragai)
