Leaders of Solidarity Mission of World Jewry to Hold Press Conference on Wednesday October 18 at 11:30am at Foreign Ministry Press Centre, Isrotel, 204 Jaffa Rd., Jerusalem.
Over 70 Jewish leaders have arrived in Israel for a two-day solidarity mission. The leaders of the mission will hold a press conference on Wednesday October 18 at 11:30 am at the Foreign Minister Press Centre, Isrotel, 204 Jaffa Rd., Jersualem.
The press is to be briefed by Ronald Lauder, Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice-Chairman Conference of Presidents, Sallai Meridor, Chairman Jewish Agency for Israel, Stephen Solender, President and CEO United Jewish Communities of North America, and a representative from Keren Hayesod-United Israel Appeal.
During their visit to Israel, the delegation are scheduled to meet with President of Israel Moshe Katsav, Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Acting Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben Ami, leader of the Likud Ariel Sharon, Member of Knesset Natan Sharansky, Mayor of Jerusalem Ehud Olmert, Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Moshe (Bugi) Yaalon, and US Ambassador Martin Indyk. The solidarity mission will also visit the Gilo suburb of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, the Jewish community villages Katzir and Mei Ami supported by the Jewish Agency, and will meet residents of Jaffa.
