Dear Friends,
As the New Year unfolds, it gives me great pleasure to offer you warm blessings for a wonderful New Year – a year of peace and security for all our brothers and sisters around the world and all the citizens of Israel. A year in which we will continue to work together in this mission that we have taken upon ourselves to be the bridge between the Jewish world in the Diaspora and the State of Israel and its citizens. In the coming year I look forward to expanding the connection and cooperation of the Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization with our partners around the world and in Israel and a year in which additional partners will join us in fulfilling the challenging tasks set before us.
Our first tasks are to reinforce immigration to Israel, expand Jewish and Zionist education in the Diaspora, bring young Jews closer to Israel and enhance their connection to their homeland, and bridge the gaps in Israeli society, especially in Israel's areas of national priority the Galilee, the Negev and Jerusalem.
As we celebrate the New Year, I would like to once again thank our many partners in the Jewish world and Israel: the generous donors from the Federations of North America, UJC and Keren Hayesod; members of the Board of Governors; Jewish and Zionist organizations in the Diaspora and business philanthropists in Israel. I am grateful for the trust that you have given us and for the partnership that enables us to be at the forefront of activity on behalf of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. A special thank you to our shlichim and workers of the Jewish Agency all around the world for your dedicated and professional work. Your commitment and devotion guarantee our continued success and fulfillment of goals in the coming year.
