In response to the escalating situation in the north of Israel, the Jewish Agency for Israel has established a coalition with the United Jewish Communities - Jewish Federations of North America, Keren Hayesod, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), and The Spirit of Israel to ensure the safety of children from Israel's northern region.

The Jewish Agency has spearheaded an initial drive to bring children in Israel's northern communities under fire from Hezbollah missiles in Haifa, Nahariya, Safed, Tiberias and other towns to attend camping programs in the country's center.
At a cost of $350 per child for children living in Jewish Agency absorption centers and $450 per child for children living outside of these frameworks, emergency funding is needed immediately to allow an initial 2,000 vulnerable children to begin attending Jewish Agency camps this week.
