Only 24 hours left to win a free trip to Israel

Contribute $18, make a difference in the lives of Israel’s brave, lone immigrant soldiers and enter to win an exciting six night, seven day trip for 2 to Israel on El Al with accommodations at one of the exquisite Dan hotels!

“Leaving my family and friends in Peru was not easy, but I felt that Israel was my home. I am really proud to be serving in the army and protecting my country.”

— Joel Jabiles

Joel Jabiles, 23, is just one of thousands of lone immigrant soldiers who have left comfortable lives, family and loved ones behind in their native countries to make aliyah, become a part of the Israeli people and defend the Jewish homeland. Joel, who came to Israel in 2004, was drafted into the army a year later. He served in a combat unit and carried out a number of dangerous missions in the Gaza Strip. During the recent Second Lebanon War, his unit was moved from Gaza to the Lebanese border.

Israel’s lone immigrant soldiers are true heroes. Each day they selflessly put their lives on the line to ensure a strong and secure Israel for Jews around the globe. Though they must struggle to make ends meet financially and are often still in the process of acclimating to a new country and a new language, these soldiers serve Israel with determination, love and pride.

In Jewish tradition, chai, the Hebrew word for life, is symbolized by the number 18. Your contribution of just $18 will help soldiers like Joel – enhancing their lives and expressing our appreciation for their courageous service. One hundred percent of all monies raised go directly to the soldiers themselves.

We Count on them to Protect Israel's Future.
