Hillel Helps Rebuild Kiryat Shmona

January 15, 2007 / 25 Tevet 5767

Students from the Hillel organization arrived to help repair and rebuild a Kiryat Shmonah neighborhood that was hit by Katyusha rockets and was also suffering from neglect.

Thanks to the initiative by the Hillel students, the Ayalim Association and the Jewish Agency, the neighborhood was transformed beyond recognition.

Students from the universities of New York, New Jersey and Boston, members of the Shorashim project from the Hillel organization,  volunteered their time to assist the Ayalim Association with renovations, gardening, painting and landscaping in the “Olei ha-Gardom” neighborhood in Kiryat Shmona.
