A United Jewish Communities (UJC) Young Leadership Delegation, numbering 170, arrived in Israel in early July. They participated in volunteer projects all over the country and lent a hand to Jewish Agency projects. Members of the group arrived from different Jewish Federations in the United States.

The delegation first visited Jewish Agency absorption centers: Merchavia, Ayelet Hashachar, and Meron in Safed. Next was Kibbutz Ravid; An educational kibbutz, Menahamia Student Village and Kiryat Shmona.

They volunteered in gardening, painting and renovation of absorption centers, youth villages and the Jungle park in Kiryat Shmona.
Delegation participants learned a great deal about Jewish Agency projects and felt a sense of achievement in contributing to Israeli society.
