The Shoshana Absorption Center in Kiryat Gat began organizing activities for children living in frontline communities not long after Operation Cast Lead began.
This past week, Yael Arad, an Olympic silver medalist judoka, who is very devoted to the absorption center, surprised the children with a gift of 500 coloring books and toys. She also helped organize sports activities for the children and youth.

On a daily basis, the children enjoy special playtime with twenty Partnership 2000 Chicago - Kiryat Gat / Lachish region volunteers from the Beit Guvrin Mechina (an Israeli educational institution for post-secondary students).
