Jews from throughout the FSU rally in support of residents of Southern Israel and Operation Cast Lead, the IDF’s military campaign to end the shelling of southern Israel’s towns and cities. Gregory Brodsky, director of the South Caucasia delegation, reported that a solidarity demonstration was held on January 11, 2009 in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia, as a show of support for the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

The parents of Naaleh students currently learning in Israel organized the event.

Dozens of Jewish community members, students from the Tbilisi State University, the Israeli ambassador to Georgia, and Jewish Agency representatives attended the rally.
