It's a basketball summer for a group of children from the Jewish Agency's Shoshanna Absorption Center in Kiryat Gat.
The children, originally from Ethiopia, played basketball during the year and proved to be excellent players. As a result, members of the Absorption Center staff arranged for them to go to basketball school near the Absorption Center run by the Basketball Association.
With the help of a donor from Moshav Lachish the children received uniforms, a hat and a bag.
There have already been a few games and some of the children have won medals.
At the end of the summer vacation there will be registration for the basketball school: junior basketball for the younger children and the older children will be part of the national league. This year the local team qualified for the national league.
