Jay Fink of Sydney, Australia decided to give his Bar Mitzvah present to a special cause: building a computer room at the Jewish Agency Ben Yakir Youth Village and supporting its basketball classes.
One month after his celebration, Jay came to visit Israel with his parents and two sisters. The staff and pupils of the youth village welcomed him with a ceremony inaugurating the computer room.
Speakers at the ceremony noted Jay’s special gesture, and the children of the village sang songs. Amongst the participants were Major Gen. (Res.) Ze’evi Farkas, former captain of Israel’s basketball team Tal Brody, and director of the Jewish Agency's Future Generation Division, Elisha Hosman.
After the inauguration of the computer room, the Fink family toured the youth village, expressed their great satisfaction with the well-kept village, and promised to keep in touch in the future.
