ON BEHALF OF THE ETHIOPIAN CHILDREN IN OUR ABSORPTION CENTERS

FOR GIVING THEM A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL SUMMER
Your support enabled 2,150 Ethiopian children, 600 of whom arrived in 2010, to enjoy an educational and fun summer. For these campers, whose parents cannot afford to send them to camp, this is their only way of experiencing a safe summer in a structured and enriching environment.
- Camps were held for children, ages 4-18, in 17 absorption centers throughout Israel.
- A portion of the campers received targeted educational enrichment through the Matzophim and Preparation for First Grade programs. Hebrew, English , and Math lessons were conducted to bridge educational gaps and prepare the children for the upcoming school year.
- 200 campers from Barnea Absorption Center engaged in unique sporting activities.
- Over 500 campers learned how to swim.
- Campers participated in computer sessions to enhance their technological abilities.
- 450 campers from the Mevasseret Zion Absorption Center were treated to an interactive educational tour of the enchanting Jerusalem Botanical Gardens.
- Field trips around the country were implemented, including visits to the Zoo, National Museums, “Superland” Amusement Park, and more.
