For Courtney Broad, experiencing Israel is neither passive nor one-sided. From participating in birthright to interning in Israel, she's meeting, learning and living side-by-side with the 'real Israel' – and finding her self in the middle of it all. Read more

Isak Aasvestad is on a journey – spiritually and physically. Driven by his interest in Judaism and studying Torah, Isak left Norway for Israel to join a MASA program. Now, during his year of intensive studies at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem, Isak looks ahead to pursuing his goals of enrolling in rabbinical school. Read More.

Katie's not the first in her family to join the army. She's also not the first to serve as a combat soldier. What does set her apart is where she's chosen to serve her country: in Israel. Becoming a lone immigrant soldier in the IDF hasn't deterred Katie from reaching her goal of defending her homeland.

Even though Amir Peleg moved to Israel without his family in early January 2009, he's anything but alone here. Amir's often stopped on the street by passers by, invited to strangers' houses for meals, and his cell phone generally rings off the hook.
