In Ashdod, at the heart of aliyah and absorption, a Memorial Park was dedicated in memory of Mr. Karol Unger, who was also known as Mr. Aliyah, for his role in assisting hundreds of thousands of Jews in making aliyah from the FSU in the early 1990s. In attendance were his widow, daughter and beloved granddaughter.
