Bayit Rishon Bamoledet
For Singles from the FSU, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the West

General Background:
Following the successful absorption of singles from Latin America in Kibbutz Ramot Menashe (2002), Kibbutz Beit Hashita (2003), Kibbutz Yifat (2004-2005) through Bayit Rishon Bamoledet, we are offering the program in 2006 as well.
The first group will arrive in Kibbutz Yifat and Kibbutz Ramat Hashofet in February – early March.

Target Population:
Singles and divorcees, aged 29-45.

Dates:
1. Aliyah end February – early March 2006. Ulpan opens mid-March
2. Aliyah end August 2006. Ulpan opens during September.

Location:
Kibbutz Yifat and Kibbutz Ramat Hashofet

Accomodations on the Kibbutz:
1. Yifat – apartments include two bedrooms, kitchenette and shared bathroom facilities. Each participant has his own room. Apartment has basic furniture and equipment – bed, cupboard, table, chair, refrigerator, cooking facilities.
2. Ramat Hashofet – individual rooms for each participant. Room includes furniture and basic equipment – bed, cupboard/wardrobe, table, chair, refrigerator, cooking facilities.
Rent – NIS 700 per month (including electricity and water). Additional costs – food, telephone, laundry – according to usage.

Duration of Project:
Stage A: Ulpan Aleph, five months. Additional activities during this time: workshops, lectures, tours around the country and seminars.
Stage B:  Finding employment, or participating in preparatory course for finding employment, six months.
Stage C: Possibility of staying on for an additional year.

Local and Regional Services:
Medical services, postal services and minimarket. Government offices and other shops in the area.

Social Absorption: Adoptive families.

Employment: The kibbutz cannot ensure employment, but will do its utmost to check employment possibilities at kibbutz industries and other local options.
