This garin of immigrants will join the community for an initial 6-12 months. During this time, the immigrants will study in ulpan, enhance their knowledge of Jewish heritage, the history of the Jewish People and the State of Israel, and will investigate employment and business options.
During their stay at the absorption base, the immigrants will be adopted by host families in the community, and will become an integral part of all aspects of life in the community and the region.
At the end of the absorption period, they will be given the opportunity to either join the community and buy a permanent home or find housing elsewhere according to their preference.
Based on experience in other localities, we have found that absorption in a community village is a warm, supportive and embracing process, which enhances the immigrants’ adjustment to life in Israel and, to a large extent, minimizes the difficulties associated with the absorption process. Moreover, the personalized and dedicated attention they will receive will help to ensure that their absorption process is as quick and successful as possible.
