The Israel Centre is proud to announce that we now boast a state of the art Media Centre equipped with HD video conference ability, a new sound system, blue ray DVD player and much more. The Israel Media Centre was launched on the 1st December 2010. It is now fully operational thus allowing us to be in regular video contact with Israel – all part of our endeavour to allow Israel to be far more accessible to you.

The establishment of this centre was made possible owing to the generosity of the Kaplan family, the Israeli Ministry of Absorption and the Jewish Agency Aliyah department. The system will serve the use of the Israel Centre, Aliyah, Jewish Zionist education and partnership with Israel as well as other organisations in the Beyachad building, it will also be available to the entire community with a major focus on Jewish Zionist activities. The system will assist the Israel Centre to improve the service we give to our Olim and will be used as an educational tool allowing low cost seminars and lectures to run.

We thank all who made the establishment of the Israel Media Centre possible and encourage the Jewish community to make use of this fantastic system. We hope that our Israel Media Centre will play a vital role, by offering rich sources of communication and information thus bridging the gap between Jews in South Africa, Israel as well as the rest of the world.
