Mr. William D. Hess is the Vice-President of ARZA and President of AZM. He is the Treasurer of ARZENU and he is a member of the Board of many organizations, such as UAHC/URJ; Youth Coordinating Committee; Commission on Lifelong Jewish Learning; the Zionist General Council, WZO; the Jewish National Fund, Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Board of Trustees. In the past he had held several positions within the URJ and was a member of the Executive of the World Union for Progressive Judaism. He also held the position of General Chair of the Israel Bonds New Orleans and Bonds National Cabinet.

Mr. Hess was honored Simon Wiesenthal Center Community Service Award 2001; Israel Bonds Jerusalem Award 1998; Temple Sinai Couple of the Year 1999 and ZOA Man of the Year 1982.

Mr. Hess has a BA from the New York University. He developed and operated TeleProductions, Inc., New Orleans’ first network level video post-production facility.

Mr. Hess is a Committee Member since 1998.
