Mr. Moshe Kagan (WZO)

Mr. Moshe Kagan grew up in Lithuania and left for the US in his teens, just after the outbreak of World War II. He enlished in the US army and spent two years at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, developing electronic equipment for the location of enemy artillery, writing the required manuals and teaching new recruits. Subsequently he spent two years in Europe in combat.

After returning to the States, he received a degree in electonical engineering and joined a technical company of which he eventually became President. He participated in the design of the first nuclear submarine, and was cited by the US Navy as an Honorary Submariner. After leaving the company he was a consultatnt for many years to several very large US corporations.

He holds and has held many positions in the Zionist and Jewish community. Among them, he has been a member of the WZO Executive, a member of the Executive of the WJC, Co-Chair of the American Section of WJC, founding President of Meretz, USA. He was a member of the original WZO reorganization committee of 1965 which led to the establishment of the American Zionist Federation of which he was the Founding Treasurer, Co-Chair of the task force for the restructuring of the JNF in the US and a signer of the reorganization agreement between the WZO and the UJA and KH to establish the Reorganizes Jewish Agency. Moshe Kagan has been a member of the Jewish Agency Board and committees for many years.
