Ted Sokolsky is the President CEO of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. He assumed the presidency in January of 2004 following a successful five-year term as the organization’s Vice President, Integrated Fundraising. Ted began his communal career with B’nai Brith Youth Organization in 1972, moving from there to Canadian Friends of Haifa University as Campaign Director, before joining UJA Federation, where he served in various positions.
His accomplishments include: Managing the extraordinary growth of UJA Federation’s Annual Campaign from $34 million in 1995 to a record $61 million in 2006, making it the third largest Campaign in the Federation system; Planning, organizing, and implementing Jewish Toronto Tomorrow, a groundbreaking UJA initiative that will invest $350 million in capital projects within the Greater Toronto Area – the largest-ever redevelopment of Toronto’s Jewish community infrastructure; Overseeing the restructuring of the Federation Foundation that resulted in the rapid expansion of its assets from $23 million to nearly $250 million over 7 year period.
In 2007 Ted became the Chair of UJC’s Large City Executive Director’s forum. He is an Associate Member of the Executive since June 2007.
