Danny Danon is the newly elected Chairman of the World Likud, having been successfully elected in June 2006. The position gives him the worldwide responsibility for the Likud movement whose main goal is the promotion of Zionism.
Danny Danon is the Chairman of the Community Action Centers Project, which saw the creation of a network of Community Centers in deprived neighborhoods across Israel.
Danny’s previous positions have included:
· Chairman of the World Betar Youth Movement
· Senior Advisor to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
· Jewish Agency emissary to Miami, Florida from 1994 to 1996.
· Overall commander of the Marva program, a joint venture between the IDF and the Jewish Agency.
He studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has a Master's degree in Public Policy and Public Administration and a BA in International Relations.
Danny Danon has been a Member of the Jewish Agency Board of Governors since October 2004.
