Rany Trainin is head of the Yoav Regional Council and Chairman of the Economics Committee of Israeli Mayors.

He is a member of Kibbutz Beit Nir, at which he has acted as economic manager and treasurer.  He has also been managing director of a major fruit juice production facility. 

Rany Trainin is a member of the board of Meretz and a former member of the board of the Kibbutz Artzi Federation.  He served in the IDF as a paratrooper, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel (reserve).

A member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since October 2002, he served as the Chairman of the Information Technology Committee and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Israel Committee.
