A Passover Blessing

March 28, 2007 / 9 Nissan 5767

Dear Friends,

The State of Israel is currently undergoing difficult times. The war over the summer and its ramifications, ensuing inspections and investigations, internal and external threats and the continuing arming of terror organizations in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon - all of these contribute to a morose feeling.

I turn to you now, on the eve of Passover, our friends and partners in the Jewish world in Israel and abroad, to reinforce our inner unity and to remember the difficult times the Jewish people have faced throughout our history. We are a people that have known enslavement and redemption, dispersal and long exiles before the re-establishment of our homeland in the State of Israel as the national home of the Jewish people.

I am confident in the strength and stamina of our people to withstand the challenges and great tasks standing before us, and have no doubt that together we can overcome the difficulties and march forward towards a promising future for the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Please allow me to extend my heartfelt Passover blessings to both you and your family members.

Sincerely,

Zeev Bielski
