Mideast Conflict

December 28, 2005

New Jewish immigrants from North America disembark from an airplane upon their arrival at Ben Gurion International airport near Tel Aviv December 28, 2005. Immigration to Israel rose in 2005 for the first time since the start of a five-year-old Palestinian uprising, the Jewish Agency that encourages new immigrants said on Wednesday. The agency welcomed a planeload of more than 200 North Americans arriving at Tel Aviv's airport on Wednesday. REUTERS/Gil Cohen Magen.
