Video -- For many Ethiopian Jews immigrating to Israel has meant the promise of a better life.

But a better life that often comes at the cost of dividing families with some members allowed to emigrate while others are blocked in Ethiopia.

For every family that is eventually reunited in Israel - another family is torn apart in Ethiopia, as Israel struggles to cope with the tide of people who want to make the trip.

Reuters correspondent Elana Ringler spent time with 'Falashas Mura' community.
