Jewish Agency Organizes "Global Israel Showcase" and Israel Programs Fair for 1200 Jewish Students from the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Latin America Currently Visiting Israel, on Sunday January 2nd at Tel Aviv University

15,000 young Jews from around the world are currently participating in short-term programs run by the Jewish Agency and birthright israel.

On Sunday, January 2nd, the Jewish Agency will hold a "Global Israel Showcase" and programs fair to promote the "Masa" project - a new initiative of the Government of Israel and Jewish Agency which promotes long-term programs in Israel for young Jews.

On Sunday morning, 1200 Jewish students will visit the sites of various long-term programs throughout Israel in order to learn about them, in the hope they will return to Israel as participants.

At 3:00pm, the students will gather at the Tel Aviv University Sports Center (near gate 8) for Israeli folkdancing. At 4:15pm they will march in a colorful parade through the campus to the quad in front of the Smolarz Auditorium (near gate 4) to attend an Israel programs fair featuring exhibits with information on all the long-term programs in Israel available to young Jews from around the world.

At 7:30pm, the students will meet in the Smolarz Auditorium where they will be addressed by Professor Itamar Rabinovich, President of Tel Aviv University, Alan Hoffman, Director-General of the Jewish Agency's Jewish-Zionist Education Department and Avraham Infeld, President of Hillel-The International Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

The day will conclude with a concert by noted Israeli musician, Gidi Gov.
