150 members of the Maranatha Chapel of San Diego visited Israel and contributed $125,000.00 to the Jewish Agency for promoting immigration to Israel.
The delegation visited the Jewish Agency Beit Canada Absorption Center, in Jerusalem and was acquainted with the various activities taking place under its roof and with the local synagogue. They listened to the personal success stories of two immigrants who participated in vocational training courses, which helped them land a job. These courses had been facilitated by a previous contribution by the Maranatha Chapel of San Diego.

The most moving moment of the visit came when the congregation's pastor, Ray Bentley, who led the delegation read out a warm and loving letter addressed to Israel and to the Jewish Agency. This was accompanied by the presentation of a generous check for $ 125,000.00 earmarked to promoting aliyah under the aegis of the Jewish Agency.
Israel can count itself fortunate to have as its side the Maranatha Chapel congregation of San Diego that numbers over 4000 believers who are devoted lovers of Zion.
