The Jewish Community of Costa Rica, young and old, gathered around the new Jewish Community Center menorah patio to celebrate the lighting of the sixth Chanukah candle.

The Community Center was transformed into the village of Modiin in the year 175 B.C., where the rebellion of the Chashmonaim took place against Antiochos.
 
This was a special opportunity to celebrate both Chanukah and the official inauguration of the Community Center.
