Camp Maccabi

Becoming a soccer superstar is one of the bigger dreams of Israeli youth. Helping them improve their sports skills and thereby getting closer to their dream is the goal of Maccabi, the non-profit organization for Sports Advancement in Sderot.  The organization is running a Jewish Agency sponsored summer camp for children of Sderot and Gaza perimeter communities out of the range of Kassam missiles.  During the year the organization's activities are supported by the Peres Center for Peace.

In the coming week, campers will venture out to amusement parks and zoos, ready to embark on exciting rides on roller coasters and enjoy lively animal encounters at the zoo.
