The journey is open to women over the age of 20 with a valid driver's license. Registered candidates will be screened for compatibility. Places are limited.

Costs
The cost of Desert Queen 2010 journey is $1500 (US Dollars). This price is all-inclusive: Orientation & a full board for the 7 day journey, including jeeps and all the activities.

A special Shabbat program will be featured. Only Kosher food will be served and the Shabbat will be honored.

What happens after filling out registration forms?
Upon receipt of your application form, we will contact you - letting you know that the forms were received. If for some reason you have not received such confirmation from us, please send back your registration forms, or call 972-3-5639012

How long before the journey I have to arrive in Israel?
The day before the journey starts, is an orientation day. All the participants meet for the first time, get to know each other and receive quite a bit of information about how the journey goes. It is very important to be present on this day

How do I know where to meet you?
If you need any help in getting to the orientation day, or to the Journey's starting point, we will be happy to pick you up and get you there. Pick up will be available from central places in Israel (Tel Aviv and Jerusalem). Tell us where you are and we shall assist you.

Who will be my team?
The journey takes place in a convoy of 4WD vehicles, each vehicle has a permanent team of 3-4 participants. We do our best to connect people to their liking. In addition, you can request who you want to be with, and we will consider your request.

Can I come along with my own team?
Yes, absolutely. If you and your friends want to come as a team, you must specify it on the registration form.

Outdoor conditions, challenges ... What does that mean exactly? do I need a prep course or something like that...?
Absolutely not. Our motto is "everyone can do it". If something is too difficult for you - someone will help you. Soon enough you will find yourself helping her in something else. The journey is built so that you can participate without any training requirements.

So, no need to subscribe to the gym two months before the trip?
Gym is always good... The whole journey is mainly driving in jeeps, and the most important body organ that needs to get in shape is the... jaw. Just because usually you talk and laugh a lot.

I very much want to participate - but never drove a jeep. is it possible?
We teach the participants everything they need to know for the journey, so that even the most inexperienced - can enjoy the driving. You do not need prior knowledge, and by the end of the journey you've completed all there is to know about off-road driving. It is important, though, to have a valid driver's license.

Is the journey a kind of competition?
You can see it that way, but it's not the point. During the journey each team is required to demonstrate organizational skills, operational and social capabilities, etc. The winning team is elected at the end of the journey by participants themselves, as a kind of appreciation for the team's contribution to the journey. The prize is a thunderous applause… But the real "winners" are all the Desert Queen participants: The experience they take with them from the journey is a winning for life.
