A survey conducted earlier this year for the Israel Department revealed some very encouraging findings about the impact on Israelis and Israeli life of Partnership 2000.
Of the 1,830 respondents, 88 percent stated that they believe that contact with world Jewry is very or somewhat important, while 55 percent reported that there were very or somewhat interested in taking an active role in strengthening the bond with world Jewry.
Almost half of the people asked had heard specifically of P2K, while 47 percent of those who were not familiar with the program expressed an interest in participating in future activities.
Some ten percent of the respondents and/or their immediate family have received a service or are currently involved in P2K activity.
