Following is an excerpt from the article.
In direct relation to this commitment, Gary will be chairing the 2008 Jewish Agency "Business-to-Business" sub-track at the Globes Business Conference in Tel Aviv in December. The Globes business conference is one of Israel's most prestigious financial events of the year and a magnet for more than 3,000 business leaders. The Jewish Agency gathering is where Israeli and overseas business leaders join forces in order to share their ideas and visions, to debate questions of policy, advocacy, and social venturing and to explore the possibilities to advance the Israeli and global Jewish agenda. Heiman: "We believe that in these particularly precarious times, we, as Jewish leaders, have an even greater role to play in helping secure the economic future of Israel and of our own communities. It is critical that we bring together Israeli and Diaspora business leaders in order to find the most effective ways to work together to ultimately strengthen the Jewish collective - for one common future."
