Project Name: Joint Educational Programs
Partnership Name: Yokneam-Megiddo-St. Louis
Project Category: Education
Description : The project addresses the need to develop a shared Jewish identity in a rapidly changing world. The target population of this project consists of children in kindergarten through to high school students. The project regards schools as centers of education for whole communities, in Israel and the U.S. The schools connect between broader sectors of the communities as they further define the nature of Jewish values common to Jews living in Israel and the U.S. Having relationships between schools allows us to develop a common denominator for principals, teachers, students and parents. Working with populations on such a scale advances Partnership goals-for people of one nation living in different places-with ever increasing involvement among all participants in the project. The project contributes to furthering joint education between the Partnership schools by creating long-term relationships between them in their capacity as community education centers, thus involving a wider audience than simply teachers and students. Incoming missions from the communities visit the schools and constitute a direct continuation of the contribution of the schools involved in Partnership 2000.

Community Builders serves as a platform in which opportunities are created for deepening acquaintanceship, learning, and action among the various players in the community. The goal is to create a solid, well-grounded and strong community. The program achieves this goal by creating diverse social networks that advance joint initiatives in different life areas in the community.
The key means for realizing the program's vision and goals is the provision of diverse training for socially active members of the community as well as for graduates of the Community Builders course. The program supplies a framework that supports an ongoing process whereby members of the community, in Beit Shean and the Valley, share their skills, talents, knowledge and experience, and thus strengthen themselves and their communities
