On July 2, 2001 a group of 16 educators from Rhode Island arrived for three days of activities and dialogue in the Afula-Gilboa region. Old and new friends in the area hosted the educators. The visit to the region was part of a national educators' mission. Roberta Kligler of Project Oren served as guide and facilitator for Mifgashim with Afula-Gilboa residents and with Seeds of Peace teens. The group visited Kibbutz Yizreel, the Museum of Art on Kibbutz Ein Harod, the Holidays Archives at Kibbutz Bet Hashita and of course, ate Falafel and shopped in Afula, the capital of the Emek.
