Dear Friends

By all accounts, the experience for our MAKOM Hebrew High School Teen Leadership delegation on the UJC Yom Haatzmaut Solidarity Mission was an incredible success. The mission left an indelible impression on these teens, which will provide them each with a solid foundation to build their future relationship to the land of Israel and the people of Israel as well as their profound understanding of our Jewish history and heritage.

On behalf of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, I want to express my appreciation to all my colleagues who worked so tirelessly to ensure that this would be a tremendous life-changing experience for them. Each of you worked creatively to help make the mission program uniquely special for these teens, and, we thank you for it.

Hopefully, other Federations will use the Solidarity Missions with their teen leadership populations and UJC will make it financial feasible to attract teen participation.

They have returned so much more committed and greatly energized. Their exhuberance will be infectious throughout our Greater New Haven Jewish community.

Again, many thanks, for going the extra mile to make this mission so special for them.
