Partnership 2000 funds enabled 81 new immigrant children from Ethiopia (kindergarten through high school) to start the school year with beautiful new school bags. These children are part of the new immigrant population living at the Bet Alpha/Hefziba/Merhavia Absorption Site. The new school bags allowed the children to begin school with school bags like all the Israeli children-a small contribution to making them feel welcome and at home in Israel.
