The participants in this We Stand with Israel Mission had the privilege of participating in a Jewish Agency for Israel Ceremony for the distribution of the police vehicles for the Civil Guard which were purchased by funds donated through the UJC Israel Emergency Campaign. The ceremony was held on December 12, 2002. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon spoke. Afula-Gilboa was represented by local officials and Jewish Agency Staff, as Afula received one of the vehicles.

In addition to the police vehicle distributed in this ceremony, Afula and Gilboa each received two security patrol vehicles. The patrol vehicles for Afula were donated by The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and the ones for the Gilboa were donated by the Jewish Federation of Westport-Weston-Wilton-Norwalk.
