2004 Ministry of Environment Prize Awarded to Afula's Beit Uri

The outstanding work in cleaning up their environment and developing a cottage industry out of recycled paper, earned Beit Uri Home for the Developmentally Challenged, the 2004 Ministry of Environment Prize. 30 residents and care givers took part in the large ceremony in Tel Aviv, where they were praised for their untiring efforts to clean up the local forest of Givat Hamoreh and their successful arts and crafts activities working with recycled paper.
