Dedication Ceremony for Donated MDA Ambulance in Afula

The Weiss Family from Springfield standing by the ambulance which they donated to MDA Afula in memory of their husband/father Franklin Weiss. The dedication ceremony took place Sunday, August 22, 2004.

After the ceremony the family visited the ORT Afula high school, the Absorption Center for immigrants from Ethiopia at Merhavia and then we all went to Emek Yizrael College for lunch and a tour. The family met with the Afula residents whom they had met and hosted from Hora Afula.

The Weiss family has expressed their commitment to the continued support and development of the people-to-people connections which are an essential part of the programming of the Afula-Gilboa-SNEC Partnership 2000.

We wish to express our gratitude for the generosity of the Weiss family donation of the ambulance to the people of Afula and the area. We enjoyed getting to know the three generations of family members and hope that this is the beginning of the building of a another link in our P2K Living Bridge.
