Last week a new center for Unistream Youth Entrepreneurship programs was inaugurated in Afula, joining the existing, veteran Gilboa center. Unistream is a nonprofit organization founded to create a new cadre of business leaders from among promising youth from impoverished and peripheral regions. These future leaders are instilled with the values of tolerance and equality. Unistream operates according to a model of cooperation between young entrepreneurs and local area business executives who act as coaches and counselors to the young people in all areas of business development and management. These future youth entrepreneurs begin the program in 10th grade and continue through 12th grade. Their weekly meetings include a wide gamut of workshops in subjects such as business administration, leadership development and active involvement in the community.
