Hanna Zibov is 16 years old, an only child who lives with her mother in Afula Ilit.
Since coming to Israel at the age of two, she has had no contact with her father.
Hanna began her studies at the Nir HaEmek Junior High School in Afula and but had to leave at the beginning of the 10th grade.
This year she started studying at the Amal School and because of her love of animals, decided to join the Dog-Training Workshop that was initiated at the school with the support of Partnership funding.
During the course, she showed amazing ability in coping with the mysteries of animal training and communicating with dogs. Three of the dogs that she trained were adopted during the training period.
Every morning, during the Passover vacation, Hanna volunteered to work for a vet and learned how to take care of animals.
She explained that in order to work with animals, one needs a lot of patience and felt that during the course she learned how to be patient and gentle.
The fact that she could visit the kennels at Ein Ayala, every Monday morning encouraged her to go back to school.
As she continued she said, "while training animals, you put your thoughts aside and only think about you and the dog.
I learned a lot about controlling myself, as well as how the program might help others.
I saw that the workshop was capable of helping other students, those with behavioral and other problems".
Hanna was outstanding in her achievements during the workshop and the trainer suggested she go to Tel Aviv to participate in an advanced Dog-Training Workshop.
Hanna plans to join the army and go to the elite Canine Unit or some other combat unit as a dog trainer.
