The Young Emissary program is sponsored by SNEC, the Southern New England Consortium, made up of 13 Jewish Federations in Connecticut, central Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The 15 Israeli teenagers, all from northern Israel, will delay their Israeli army service to perform a year of outreach in SNEC communities and will live with host families.
